WikiFin is still a very young wiki. To make it grow at a steady pace we need YOUR help! There is several ways for you to support WikiFin. Please make as much use of them as you can!

A wiki is nothing else, but a collaborative website which can be directly edited by anyone with access to it. Since we keep WikiFin open to be readable publicly it is a database for finswimming and other underwater sports accessible by everybody. A database of course only makes sense if it has content. That is where you come in. The WikiFin team has already added some basic content, but of course this is only a start. You can contribute by adding various kinds of data. (Note: WikiFin was founded by a group of volunteer finswimming enthusiasts, resulting that the main focus of the wiki is still on finswimming. This is not supposed to stay like that, so if you can provide content for any of the other underwater sports, you are more than welcome!)

Events

If you know of any events related to finswimming or any of the other underwater sports, help us, to add them to the WikiFin event calendar. Our events are not hosted on the WikiFin website, but a Google calendar which means, that we will have to add them for you. Find out How to add events to the WikiFin event calendar!

In the WikiFin link directory you'll soon find all kinds of links related to finswimming and other underwater sports. Up to now it's still pretty empty, but you can help us to change that. Just like in other department of WikiFin changes can only be made by members of the WikiFin team. So you can either Become a member, or you can Contact us and send us the information for the link you'd like added and we'll gladly do it for you. Admissible are all types of links including commercial ones. All links are free, so promote your underwater sport related business, add your club or any other information you believe might be interesting for WikiFin readers. All we need is:

Articles

Articles related to finswimming and underwater sports are the life and blood of WikiFin. We aim to become the most comprehensive source of information for said sports, but are still far from it. Some basic articles have been added by the original WikiFin team, but first, an article is really never finished and second, we need many more. You can contribute in three ways helping us with our articles. But first you'll have to Become a member of WikiFin to add or change content within the website.

Create new articles

If you are an expert in a certain sport you might want to share your knowledge with others. No matter, if you are a trainer, an expert in sport nutrition or possess any other kind of expertise related to any underwater sport, WikiFin will help you to distribute this knowledge on the Internet. This is your chance to publish a underwater sports related article in a medium where it'll be appreciated by hundreds, if not thousands of interested readers. Find out How to create a new article!

Edit existing articles

Chances are that an article concerning your area of expertise already exists, but don't worry. We are sure, you'll have valuable information to add and WikiFin articles are never finished! Edit the language

Another important way to help us here at WikiFin is to put articles into sleek English. Underwater sports are well practiced all over the world and therefore a very small percentage of our authors speak English as their mother tongue. Our language editing team is there to help them. If your mother tongue is English you might be able to tighten the language of our articles, check for spelling mistakes, clean up the grammar, and make sure the entries are well written and easy to read.

Post links to the fan-page and/or to WikiFin on your pinwall and on the pinwalls of clubs, associations and other underwater sports related pages you are a fan of. Send an email to all your friends interested in underwater sports and finswimming! But be responsible. Don't spam! You know best which ones of your friends could be interested in our wiki.
